Healing Through Creation:
Carolyn’s Journey to Sacred Embers

✨ Artist Spotlight: Creative Forces by Carolyn & Sacred Embers ✨
I want to introduce you to someone whose work goes far beyond art, someone who creates healing, memory, and connection with her hands and her heart.
Carolyn has been an artist her entire life. Even while navigating “real life” careers like Corrections Officer, sign shop owner, art gallery owner... but her creativity always pulled her back home. She paints, draws, works in fused glass, creates one-of-a-kind jewelry… she’s one of those people who simply creates because it’s in her blood.
Over time, her love for animals led her into pet portraiture, and many of her pieces became memorials. But the story of how Sacred Embers was born… that one will stay with you.
When her brother was dying of cancer, the two of them had a conversation that would change her life. He loved glass, loved entrepreneurship, and loved her. She shared with him the idea of creating art infused with the ashes of loved ones, be they humans or pets, as a tangible, sacred way to honor a life.
He encouraged her to do it.
He told her it made sense.
He teased her for being able to talk to people “in the next realm.”
And with his blessing, Sacred Embers was born.
Creating these pieces helped Carolyn heal and now she uses that same gift to help others heal. She sits with families, listens to their memories, hears their stories, and co-creates a piece of art that carries their love forward. She says she’s watched people transform right in front of her when they receive their Sacred Ember.
Her art is her heart work.
Her calling.
Her way of helping people through one of the hardest moments of their lives.
And in her words:
“It doesn’t get better. It only gets different.”
