Simba James Ruiz

On June 11, 2026, we said goodbye to our beloved Simba after twelve and a half wonderful years together.

Simba wasn’t just a cat. He was family, a constant companion, and one of the great loves of our lives.

He came into this world as a tiny bottle baby in 2013, and from the very beginning he showed us the fierce spirit and gentle love for his mom that would define him for the rest of his life. We had the privilege of watching him grow from a fragile kitten into a handsome gentleman; a regal boy who confidently ruled his home with endless charm for visitors.

Simba had a gift for making every room feel warmer simply by being in it. He was there for ordinary days and life’s biggest moments alike. Through moves, celebrations, heartbreaks, and new beginnings, he remained a steady source of comfort, love, and companionship.

He leaves behind his devoted moms Brittany and Alexa; his feline siblings Cheese, Louise, and Winnie who shared their home with him; and countless friends and family members who knew how deeply loved he was.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every second, every purr, every head boop, and every memory. The house feels quieter without him, but the love he gave us remains everywhere.

Thank you, Simba, for choosing us. Thank you for twelve and a half incredible years. You were loved beyond measure, and you always will be.
